Gettin' My Hands Dirty...
This isn’t a sight you see with me everyday; working on a car. But today my car was missing bad, puttering…I called my brother Aaron he plugged it in, got the code and found out it was an Ignition Coil.
-
So, I left…hit Autozone…and came back with the part. But, I insisted on helping or doing it… And Aaron brought out the tools pointed me in the right direction, and I got to work.
-
It’s important to me not only as a man, but as a father, that I continue to learn something new every day or as much as I can. Not just for myself, but so I can pass on knowledge to my children.
-
Now there are plenty of men who can deny this, but there’s nothing more frustrating than a man who doesn’t know how to use his hands and that was me for a long, long time.
-
It’s been one of the most important journeys of my life that I’m thankful for every day. My eagerness to learn, and to continue learning, even as I grow older.
-
Once I put it back together…I crossed my fingers… Started it up and it ran perfectly. I can’t begin to explain to you how accomplished I felt because I’m no mechanic.
-
But I’m hoping little by little to pick up enough knowledge to get by.
-
Aaron, this may seem really small, but it was so big for me today and I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to teach me and let me get my hands dirty.
-
Thanks bro…🙏🏼
